Our dormitory

Pay and Allowances

Job Corps pays each student a small living allowance twice a month while in the program. But just like a real job, taxes are deducted from this allowance.

Our center can house 130 male students and 130 female students in several all-male and all-female dormitories. Each dormitory has four wings, and each wing has nine rooms. Each room has a bathroom. Each dormitory has laundry facilities, TV rooms, lounges, and vending machines.

Students may live with up to three other students in a dorm room. Each student has his or her own bed, dresser, and a closet with a solid locking door.

Our cafeteria

Our students are provided three nutritious meals each day. Students have input into the meal planning.

Special dietary needs can be accommodated.

Wellness Center

The wellness center is open 5 days per week providing basic medical and dental services which are provided free to our students. The wellness center also provides 24-hour emergency medical services. Weight management, smoking cessation, pregnancy prevention, optometric, mental health, and other health-related programs are also available.
